The University of Valencia stands out with more than three thousand researchers integrated in 84 departments, 21 institutes and 5 other research units, belonging to social, biomedical, human, experimental and formal sciences. It is a leading academic organization at national level, with a remarkable international dimension, which ranks among the top 300 in the world, top 147 in Europe and top 5 in Spain as per ARWU “Shanghai” Ranking. Regarding the scientific production, National Taiwan University Ranking (NTU) shows a position of 4 in Spain, 87 in Europe and 228 in the world. 

It counts on a network of research institutes of its own or joint centers with other organisms, a unit for management, promotion and information on European and International research projects and an office for technology transfer, and several central services within the reach of the scientific community, the institutions and the industry. 

The University of Valencia contributes to the experience and work of the Institute on Robotics and Information Technology and Communications (IRTIC) through the LISITT group.  

The members of the privacy and security area of the IRTIC of the University of Valencia will lead the tasks that guarantee the adequate regulatory compliance of the UPRISE project. This task involves aligning the project with the General Data Protection Regulation and applicable national laws. Likewise, the UV ensures, through the data management plan and the appropriate ethical and legal instruments, the adequate deployment of the management and research tasks and the subsequent fairness of the data obtained. The FAIR principles and data reuse will be aligned with the recently approved European Health Data Space Regulation.
