The Institute of Public Health of the University of Porto (ISPUP), Portugal
The Institute of Public Health of the University of Porto (ISPUP) aims to create and disseminate high-quality information and knowledge in public health and to prepare future generations of the public health workforce. ISPUP’s vision and mission are anchored in promoting strong and innovative interactions among highly experienced researchers from complementary fields, with an emphasis on Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Environment, Nutrition, Behavioral Sciences, Social Sciences, and Health Policy.
At ISPUP, the Epidemiology Research Unit (EPIUnit) is devoted to creating and disseminating high-quality science that bridges different sub-specialties of epidemiology with the broader field of population health, translating fundamental research into action at the community level. EPIUnit covers the population, clinical, and translational aspects of epidemiology within a strong metric and qualitative research environment.
In IMPROVE PRETERM, ISPUP will co-lead a work package aimed at reviewing, generating, and synthesizing evidence to inform policy and economic decisions on the comparative effectiveness research of interventions related to long-term impacts in very preterm (VPT) populations.
